First stop on our tour (if you're heading east to west) is Barto's Idle Hour in Frontenac, Kansas. They've got amazing fried chicken as well as sides, which makes it a solid start to this amazing Kansas fried chicken trail.

Chicken Mary's is Chicken Annie's fiercest competitor, and has been for years. Plenty of Kansans (including you readers) argue all the time about who makes the better chicken. Personally, I love both restaurants, but it's hard to choose when both places make such good chicken. Their fluffy mashed potatoes, crispy french fries, and juicy chicken keeps me coming back for more. You'll have to try it yourself!
