Can you believe that the 100th day of school is already here? The time has both flown by and dragged on for what felt like 1000 days. Ha!

Many of the teachers in our Facebook group said that the 100th day was fast approaching for them, so I wanted to make sure that I got you these 100th day of school activities as quickly as possible!

Do you celebrate the 101 day of school or the 120th day of school and also need ideas? Most of these activities have options for all three days!

Are you as in love with morning tubs in the classroom as I am? Teachers have been loving my free fine motor mats as a quick add-in to their morning tubs, so I thought we definitely needed a 100th day version!

While students are simply making the number 100 (or 101 or 120) on each mat, the activity doesn’t have to end there. You can then challenge them to make something else using those same manipulatives.

100th Day Math Activities

If you’re celebrating a day all about the number 100, of course it just makes sense to add in as many counting to 100 activities as possible, right?

These 100th day of school number order puzzles can be laminated as a center or students can color them, cut them apart, and glue them together on a sheet of construction paper.

This puzzle includes a counting by ones or a counting by tens version.

We can also practice counting by tens with these fun no prep math worksheets! For the first worksheet, students will cut out the numbers and glue them in order to count by tens to 100 or 120.

For the second worksheet, students will draw sets of ten as they count to 100 or 120 by tens.

For your math centers (or as the partner practice activity during your math lesson), your students can play this fun Race to 100 math game!

Materials needed: game mats, dice, game pieces

How to play:

  1. Each player will roll a die.
  2. They will compare numbers. The player with the larger number gets to move up one rung on the ladder.
  3. Partners will continue rolling, comparing, and moving until one partner reaches the top.
  4. The first player to reach 100 wins!

100th Day Dot Painting

Need a fine motor break during the day? This 100th day dot painting activity is perfect!

Students will dip cotton swabs in paint and use them to dot the number 100 (or 101 or 120). Then, they will practice tracing and writing the number at the bottom of the page.

100th Day STEM Building

Of course, what would the 100th day of school be without some hands-on building challenges?

You can challenge students to use 100 pattern blocks, cups, dominoes, plastic chain links, and more to create a picture, tower, or statue (depending on the material).

Last but definitely not least, students can make 100th day of school crowns! For these crowns, you will have students cut out the crown and glue it on a sentence strips. You can print these on colorful paper or have students color them.
